Dear Breeders, Did you know that on June 29th 1995, the American space shuttle Atlantis docks with the Russian space station Mir to form the largest made-made satellite ever to orbit the earth? Now I know that we have a lot of super space fans out there breeding dragons and it got me thinking..... If I was to design a space dragon how would I go about it? What would I use for inspiration? ALIEN! Oh yah that could work right? I mean its similar to a dragon in an alien kind of way! Ok I have some inspiration. My next step is to make a storyboard on what traits I want to concentrate on first. For me its the skin, The Ornament Pigment, eye and the marking. You might have a different process and that's totally cool there is no wrong way. But for today lets take a look at what I found on the wiki and show you a sample of my storyboard to start my design: Alright! With my design storyboard I have a jumping off point. I know that these 4 traits is going to be the baseline for my design. Since You can breed 1 male to three females successfully I look for a Male with the skin and then a female that has one of the other traits. So Eye, OP and Marking. Sometimes you get lucky and find some of the other traits you are wanting like the eye and the OP or the marking with the OP together in a female which is AWESOME but sometimes you don't. Your next step is to try and breed your dragons to end up with those 4 traits before you start adding the horn pigment and claws. I always try to get that marking on pretty early on in the game to make it pretty strong. When I make my designer dragons I think about the big picture. I breed for quality and stability. Sure you could get lucky and cut some corners but then the line is not strong. I will tell you this, you should breed your dragons with pride. You spend a lot of time on them. Produce a design winning dragon that you can show off! I hope you have enjoyed my ideas on a space dragon today. I hope I have inspired you to design your own trendsetting dragon. Dear Breeders, Do you need a little bidi bidi bam bam to start your summer off ???!!! Well guess what! Two brand new markings have been discovered. oooohhhh yeah.......check out these beauties: Gorgeous right! So how do you get these? Good question! So remember when Ava gave us those hints a few connections ago titled: Mutation Markings & Summer Palooza she gave us three hints (yah she is sneaky). Well two of the hints have been discovered: Any Evergreen Trait and Ceondet could give you ???? We now know that is the Mutation Lemon Aura. Any Antlers and Mothers Rose Eye could give you ???? We now know is the Mutation Rose Aurora. These Markings do pass! BUT WAIT we still have not seen the final hint revealed: Any Lacing Marking and Datentud could give you ???? So hurry up already !!! Dear Breeders, Today I want to talk about your dragon's crown of glory, their horns! Some dragons like to mix it up with their Ornament Pigments. Dare I say they move to a different beat? While others are purists and like to have their skin, horn and ornaments to be in the same family. For example if your dragon skin is in the water family then they would use double fin horn and ornament. Still yet their are those breeders who love the look of doubles regardless of what the skin pigment. For example a popular choice is double Feathers. With so many different options available designing your dragons will never get boring. Lets take a look at the different horns that are available: Yes I agree each horn is lovely! Dear Breeders, Today I thought I would try to answer the most frequent questions I get asked on a daily basis First I just want a shout out a big WELCOME to all the new dragon breeders out there! (woot woot!) Secondly I want to give props to all of our seasoned breeders that help everyone in the group! You guys are amazing! I do not know about the rest of you but, for me I feel a welcoming part of the community. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is: How do I price my dragon and where do I find dragons for sale. My answer is always this: Go to the official Mystical Creatures Markets. If you look up at the menu bar you will see the tab: LOCATIONS This will bring up a link of every official Mystical Creatures Markets. All you have to do is TP to the different markets shop and compare prices of dragons. ALSO! Attend the auctions of each market. You will gain a lot of insight on what certain traits are going for. ***Looking for an auction?*** Every Auction house has a sign letting you know where and when a dragon auction is happening. Secondly I always suggest they get involved in the community. Attend the Town Hall Meetings to hear about all the news directly from the Mystical Creatures Team. May the 4th be with you! Dear Breeders today I had a very interesting interview with a siren! As you know at Mystical Creatures we deal with all things Mystical! This Lovely Siren feels perhaps she has gotten a bad reputation and would like to set the record straight. Well I will let you decide for yourself. Let's begin: Me: Your beauty has been rumored of far and wide. To what do you attribute it to? Siren: Just good breeding I guess. I come from a long line of Sirens. Me: I see. Is it true you can turn dragons into stone if they gaze upon you? Siren: NO! (laughs) You have me confused with my cousin Medusa. Me: Oh right! Well is it true you have a very beautiful voice? Siren: That is true. I have a voice you would die for. Me: Oh! Ummmm so is it true you lure dragons to their death by your song? Siren: sighs softly, well it is my song of love. I mean we all deserve love don't you agree? Me: Sure. But, should love bring death? Siren: If you die happily in love......why not? I could think of worse ways to go. Me: Hmmm it would stand to reason then that your relationships do not last very long. Doesn't this make you lonely? Siren: I never thought of it like that to be honest. For me its the thrill of the hunt. The chase. Me: What of longevity? Stability? Do you not desire these things in your relationships? Siren: Overrated! Me: How so? Siren: Imagine being able to feast on a new delicious food everyday. No longer would your pallet be bored. Excitement would be yours everyday wondering what new taste would be yours to try. Me: I can appreciate your point of view however I think it could be a very lonely life. Siren: (Laughs affably) perhaps for a mere human that would be true. Me: (smiles softly and shrugs) Perhaps Me: Is it true that if you saw your reflection in a mirror that it would in fact show the "true" you? Siren: (glares at me) Who told you this?
