I wonder if it would be possible in a future update to make the text on the eggs show when one isn't incubated.
Different color for incubated and unincubated.
When the text is turned on you can't tell and get home and wham you have to incubate before you can hatch.

An incubated egg appears cracked so you can tell its been incubated.
